Are you looking for a fun workout that keeps you motivated to come back? For a fun and supportive gym environment with professional trainers and a great workout, come to the Orangetheory Fitness in Edgewater, New Jersey.
The Orangetheory workout will produce increased muscle endurance, strength, and power—and if you wish, great weight loss as well with proper nutrition. On average our clients burn an estimated 500 to 1000 calories per Orange 60 session!
Orangetheory group training sessions are never exactly the same, but we guarantee you a great full body workout using cardiovascular and strength training. During your gym session, you can expect intervals of treadmill training, indoor rowing, and weight room or resistance training blocks in an energizing workout led by one of our highly experienced trainers.
During your session, you will be provided a heart rate monitor and POD to monitor your session, which we like to call the Orange 60. During the course of the hour, you will perform multiple intervals which have been designed to produce 12-20 minutes of training at 84% of your max heart rate or zones 4/5. This will produce excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), which is like an "after-burn" effect. After your session, your body will continue needing oxygen at a higher rate than before you began exercising, which is known as oxygen debt. The body continues to use oxygen and burn calories at a higher rate as if you were still working out, for up to 36 hours after you have finished your session.
Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Orangetheory is perfect for any fitness level because the intensity of the workout is based upon your individual heart rate. Just book your first gym session with our Chicago - Edgewater Orangetheory studio by giving us a call at (773) 234-0311 or by using our website. Your first session is complimentary, so don't wait!
Backed by the science of post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), our heart-rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Our clients burn an estimated 500 to 1000 calories per workout. We are 5 zone heart-rate interval training.
Working out in a group provides accountability and structure to help achieve fitness goals. You are more likely to get a great workout and better results from the well-rounded movements and pace direction you get in a group setting. The session motivates each other to pick up the pace and reach beyond plateaus. People who workout in groups stick to their goals more consistently than those that workout alone.
